A quick shower this morning and then I headed downstairs for some delicious coffee. Dinner plans are firming up and it looks like a group effort tonight.
We did have some rain last night but it's sunny skies this morning. A beach walk was now in order so I did a solo walk down to the end of the beach.
We made plans for a train ride at Kilohana Plantation and then Simone & Emile went for a bike ride into Kapa'a. With a few hours to kill before we go into town for the train ride, we decided to do a reconnoiter trip to Kilauea Lighthouse.
Some road work slowed us a bit but we did finally get to the lighthouse but, unfortunately we needed a reservation to gain access. No viewing was possible so we will have to rethink our next trip up there so no pictures this visit.
Back at the house, we met up with Simone & Emile, some played crib and others blogged:-)
We left the house shortly before noon and headed to the Plantation for our 1 o'clock train ride. The Kilohana Plantation is located in the heart of Lihue and has very easy access. The grounds are immaculate and well cared for and have hundreds of chickens running around.

Next was a quick trip over to Costco and Target for a few last minute items and then home for all of us.
Dinner was started with Roast Leg of Lamb & Gravy on tonight's menu with Roasted Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts and Greek Salad.
A bunch of the folks headed to the beach for a swim pre-dinner as the waves had subsided considerably. Cocktail hour quickly followed!

We finished the night off with a game of Five Crowns with Heather beating out Hugh by a single point. It was a lot of fun. No plans for tomorrow yet but I am certain that will be the topic of discussion during morning coffee.
No rain & 23°C today.... Off to bed.
