Monday on Kauai

We struggled a bit through the night with figuring out air conditioning systems and fan switches but we will survive! The roosters and local dogs didn't help at all. I expect and look forward to a better sleep tonight!

Emile went for an early dip in the ocean... said it was amazing! Coffee was made, plans sorted a bit and then took some pics of the house.

Our joint food list is now made so it's off to Costco etc.. and to pick up Emile's rental car.

The trip into Lihue was slowed by traffc and construction but once we arrived at Costco I dropped most everyone right outside the door. I then took Emile over to the National car rental at the airport to grab his car. Back to Costco and we all continued to shop for various items on our lists… beer, meat, bread etc.

Off to Walmart next for smaller sized items. This took a while as my "guidance system" failed en route! Once there, we searched for various ingredients… and baby clothes :-)

By this time our hunger need to be fixed so we went over to Rob’s Good Times Grill for a late lunch. It was excellent! We then split up as Hugh, Kelly and I headed home with all the groceries and Simone, Heather and Emile walked over to the bike store next door to check out possible rentals. They will then plan to pick up Hugh's sister Deb & brother in law Pete at 6:30 at the airport and bring them back to the house. They are flying in via Seattle to join us.

Once we arrived back at the rooster chalet, we unloaded the groceries and liquids from the van and then relaxed with a cool beverage or two. Hugh decided that the motha sauce needed to be cooked. I decided that another beverage was in order:-)

Action in the kitchen

Pete and Deb arrived and we enjoyed the evening with some snacks and various drinks. Lots of discussion ensued. For a bonus, a full moon was out and it offered some stunning views.

The chat continued and the night grew long... once again off to the rack.

Aloha Kauai

It's our last day on Kauai and thanks to Simone's planning, we are not rushed in any way today. No early morning hotel check out re...
